Montana Agate Earrings with 14k Gold Wire Wrap

Montana Agate, the state of Montana’s official gemstone, is found only in gravel deposits around the Yellowstone River. A 65-million year old volcanic rock, Montana Agate can vary in color from red to brown and black and, rarely, green. The black and brown colors in these earrings are the result of manganese oxide in Milky Quartz. Montana Agate is considered a very hard rock, a hardness of 7, which makes it very durable and easy to wear. 

The wire wrapped stones drop 1 1/8″ from the bottom of the solid 14k gold ear wire.
